Mighty Dog still has a lot of work to do in order to better serve their franchisees. Have liked the royalty concessions but fees are still high. Can be profitable but fees are too high compared to value received

Horsepower brands sold the company like it was plug and play. They said thats why the franchise fees were so high along with the royalties. We should have listened to both our lawyers that told us it was a bad buy.

This is a cautionary tale on franchising. Well I do think the strongest operators have a chance to do okay, I'm not convinced that has anything to do with the brand because I think it has everything to do with the operator. I personally haven't had a good experience with Mighty Dog. The royalties, even though they're seemingly reducing them this year, are way too high for the value we get. All the shared services they make us use are almost definitely inferior services to other vendors we could find on the open market. There just isn't much in the way of corporate support that moves the needle in a local roofing business any more than I wouldn't have been able to figure out on my own within a couple of months of launching my business. Leadership seems to be taking feedback to heart and seems to be working to strengthen the level of their support. But we'll have to see how the next year goes. There is zero chance I would back to this brand again knowing what I know now.

Owned a location for 3 1/2 years. The overall support was terrible. We did really well on the top line, but lost money every single year. Only a handful of locations ever made any kind of profit. The leadership has no interest in helping locations become profitable. They constantly rotate through franchise coaches and marketing. It appears over half of the locations have closed.

Don’t do it. Maybe 5 profitable locations total. Management is sociopathic. Support is only enough p get you one and sending them money.
